Lead MRI Radiographer
After Graduating as a Diagnostic Radiographer Tom has managed to gain a wide range of experience in most imaging modalities. My time in the NHS was spent on a rotation basis through plain film, interventional, theatre, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI scanning. After this period in the NHS as a general radiographer I decided to join Diagnostic Healthcare (DHC) as Lead MRI Radiographer for the opportunity to refresh and develop his skills in MRI.
Tom is responsible for a large team of MR Radiographers and is focussing on developing the team and recruiting additional staff to ensure we deliver an outstanding service to our customers. He is responsible for new starter inductions, probationary reviews, performance reviews and trainee assessments. To support him in this Tom has attended management courses to enhance the important skills required to manage a growing team.
Ongoing quality management is vital to our service and Tom spends much of her time building and managing key relationships with internal and external customers to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day services, monitoring clinical governance as well as updating protocols and auditing images to maintain the high standards that both Diagnostic Healthcare and our customers expect.
Tom enjoys the variety of his role and says no two days are ever the same!
